St. James Nursery School has much to be thankful for as we close out November! The Holiday Vendor and Book Fair was lovely and proceeds will benefit Mt. Airy Net, to help families in need. This special event was organized by parent volunteers and is part of the year-long celebration of St. James Nursery School’s 40th anniversary.
There is still time to donate children’s pajamas for pajama drive! Donation boxes can be found in the lobby downstairs in the church, UNTIL December 5th. Please consider purchasing a pair of pajamas with your children, to donate to a less fortunate child.
In December, the pre-K 4-year old students will visit the Pine Valley Tree Farm to select a tree for their classroom! The Pre-K 4 year old students have also been practicing under the direction of their teachers and will perform in evening Christmas programs for their parents and families.
The wonderful Target grant funded “Cuddle up and Read” program continues. In this program, students who track their reading at home for at least 20 days of the month, by drawing smiley faces on a special calendar, will earn a new book to keep!

Also in December, each class will have Chapel time with Reverend Bill or mini-chapel with the school director, Pat Castle. A special invitation is extended to the families of the 3 and 4 year old students, to share these special Christmas sessions, where the theme will be the birth of Christ.
Class schedules are available for the 2015-2016 school year! Registration begins early 2015. Please spread the word, and take a look if you would like to enroll your little one in the excellent pre-school program at St. James Nursery School. The students gain a solid foundation for kindergarten through fun, faith and play.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the St. James Nursery School Board!
