From the Rector
Holy Week & Easter resources and services
As we approach the upcoming most sacred week of the church year, we are planning services to fit our current “hybrid” model of in-person and online offerings, as well as preparing at-home prayer resources.
Mark your calendar now to stop by the church from Noon-1:00 pm on Saturday 3/27 to pick up your Holy Week & Easter bag which will include: palms for Palm Sunday, prayer resources, at-home communion kits for Easter Day, and filled Easter eggs for families to create egg hunts at home.
On Palm Sunday (3/28 ) you may attend indoor worship at 8:30 am (reserve seats online) or online worship at 10:30 am (Zoom & Facebook). Both services will begin with the blessing of the palms and include a reading of the Passion.
On Maundy Thursday (4/1 ) we will gather on Zoom for an agape supper with readings and prayers at 6:30 pm. While enjoying simple dinners in our own homes, we will come together virtually to read scripture and pray as we remember the final night Jesus spent around a table with his friends. More details coming soon.
On Good Friday (4/2 ) you’re invited to journey The Way of the Cross on Zoom at 7:00 pm. In this traditional stations of the cross service we will walk Jesus’ final steps through scripture, prayer, and artwork.
On Easter Day (4/4) we will have two services of Holy Eucharist: an in-person service at 8:30 am (reserve seats online) and an online service with choir at 10:30 am streaming on Facebook and YouTube. If you would like to share communion during the later service be sure to pick up at-home communion kits ahead of time.
As we make our way through our annual Lenten pilgrimage I hope you will join me in marking the holy days ahead of us.
Yours in God’s peace,
Kristin+
We need your ALLELUIA! this Easter
Dig out your craft supplies and get creative to make a poster of any size saying ALLELUIA! then take a picture of members of your household holding the sign and send it to the church office by 3/29.
We’ll use everyone’s pictures to make a special video to be included in our Easter Day online worship service.
PS – this isn’t just for kids, we want everyone to participate!
Financial Help for Parishioners
The members of our community who gave a generous donation to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund with the hope of helping parishioners with winter heating assistance have extended these funds to help parishioners in whatever way in needed during these tough times. Please reach out to Rev. Kristin for more information if we can help you in the coming months.
