As we start 2016 “Let this coming year be better than all the others. Vow to do some of the things you have always wanted to do but could not find the time. Call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Vow not to make a promise you do not think you can keep. Walk tall, and smile more. You will look 10 years younger. Do not be afraid to say, I love you. Say it again. They are the sweetest words in the world.” – Ann Landers.
Happenings at St. James’ Nursery School throughout the months of November and December have been phenomenal for the children. For instance in November the children took part in Thanksgiving feasts, had a safety overview by officer Willingham which included checking out his cruiser, a trip to Piney Run and lots more fun happenings each and every day. In December they visited a tree farm, there were cookie events, cuddle-up book distribution, they participated in Yoga, and most importantly they learned about the true meaning of Christmas. November and December are very exciting times of the year for children and adults alike. The children created beautiful arts and crafts in preparation for Christmas. Our St. James’ Nursery School staff and teachers are so talented and creative. Hope you had a chance to see the beautiful Christmas tree in the lower level entrance way featuring photos of each classroom group and decorated with crafts made by the children. Of course we must not forget the wonderful chapel times our children always love and enjoy with Rev. Kristin Krantz.
A nurse from Carroll Hospital Center is coming in January to speak to our Pre-K 4’s about the importance of hand washing. They use a special light and “pretend” germs to illustrate how handwashing removes germs and dirt from our hands. What a terrific idea!
